As the creator and curator of the BBB's National September 11th Charity Database, I was afforded a unique view of the work being done by not-for-profits responding to the attacks, both in NYC and across the globe. I will forever be humbled by the world wide generosity that followed the attacks as well as the selfless efforts of many not-for-profit, government and relief agency personnel in the weeks, months and years that followed. Certainly, mistakes were made and lessons learned, but I have never been prouder of my colleagues or my sector.
